Today my dad and I went to a car show/ swap meet at the Charlotte Motor speedway (pics later tonight). While there we both came to a realization. The Dodge isn't that fun. It's not worth the time or money to restore/ use. It's not fast and doesn't ride that well. It may have been my great grandmother's car and it may have been in the family since it was new but I don't want it and my dad doesn't want it.
I want to get rid of it immediately when you think about what you could have for the $4000- $5000 you could get for it. Fox body Mustangs (only Mustang I really like), an E30, a Brat ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ).
Slant 6 Dodge Darts just aren't cool. I've been lying to myself.

Hold the phone!
This Dart is several orders of magnitude cooler than Fox Body Mustang!
Also, that Juke: Cooler than the Fox Body.

I know it's miles above your price range, but my point is that this is my dad's car. It's such a fun car and if it was my choice it wouldn't be for sale. Basically, it's a fun car, and I would highly recommend it.
As for selling your car, that sounds sad but reasonable.

they are to cool don't you dare sell that car

My dad and I are trying to replace the Juke with a Saab convertible. Another story.

Someone like you will buy it and enjoy it! It's just not safe enough for me to use daily. And parts are hard to find.

It is sad. But someone else could enjoy it.

because that requires money up front to buy a V8. And everyone does that.

I would enjoy it but again I am insane

If I had infinite money and garage space I would keep it.

I'm glad that you can recognize that. So many people have had a car for a number of years, neglecting it, while someone out there wants that car. Yet, that person is hoarding their car. Sometimes, it's justified, but still.

63 Slant 6 Valiant was cool. Even if all Slant 6's had noisy lifters.

Trade you for a 213k Camry...
But seriously, put it up for trade on CraigsList. I'm sure you'll get a few decent offers for something more your style at the moment. There will come a day when you regret it, though. Just FYI.

in that case, put a 4bt in it.

I know. It's sad.

put a new 6.4 SRT engine and tranny in it, and pro-stock the f*** out of it.
it will be waaaaaaaaaay more fun than a brat. or a fox, or anything else.

I'll trade you my minivan for it.

Cars aren't about what they are, they are about the potential they have.

It has the potential to be a restored example of what secretaries drove in the 60s. It's not my taste. It was free for my dad and I. Someone out there really wants a Dart and I don't. Plus I have all the original paper work, and collectors love that.

I think you`re right to sell it, if you guys don`t enjoy it or want it. Someone will come along who really wants it, and they will be happy. Think about how happy you will make that person.
